You must be wondered how the cheapest car in the world sold in an auction for such a whooping amount.But, the fact is a that its a special Tata Nano, that is a part of the First Kochi-Muziris Bienalle.The car is a installation by the famous painter and the curator of the Muziris Bienalle Bose Krishnamachari, which was sold in an auction conducted by one of the known auction houses in the nation, Saffronart.

The 24 hour long online auction was held on last Monday at 8pm till Tuesday 8pm.The installation, Maximum Nano was sold for $22,434, which equals more than 13 lakhs Indian rupees. This amount includes the premium of the buyer.The information about the buyer is yet to be revealed.According to the website, there were maximum participation involved in the auction of the bienalle car.

The nano car was donated by Coffee beans from Cochin and La Gallery 360 from Trivandrum on February 14.Bose Krishnamachari made the painting on the car within two days. The painting was a part of the painting series “Automotive Bodies” by Mr.Krishnamachari.
