A 19-year-old German national and her 23 year old Indian spouse, died in a mishap on the Yamuna Expressway. Louisa Joan Rose is a German woman who worked with Mercedes Benz as car designer was on her way with her Indian husband Abhijith Soni on motorcycle, as their ride crashed on to a potato laded tractor. The accident happened at milestone 131 near the Mathura-Agra border at 11pm on February 9, 2017.
According to Praveen Kumar, station officer of Baldeo police headquarters, stated, “The two, who were on a motorbike with just Soni wearing a helmet, at first survived the impact, yet vehicles from Delhi ran Soni over as he was tossed onto the center of the expressway subsequent to slamming into the potato-loaded tractor-trolley. Louisa died on her way to the S N Medical College in Agra.”
Soni was working with a private shoe company in Kanpur. The two met through Facebook seven years prior and had got hitched only six months back in Kanpur. They had gone to Delhi to apply for Rose’s Indian citizenship and were en route back when the mishap happened.
As indicated by Deepti Soni, Abhijit’s sister, “Louisa had got married with my sibling on September 17, 2016 in the wake of taking a break from her occupation with Mercedes-Benz. Since her visa was going to lapse, the two had gone to Delhi to apply for Indian citizenship for her.”
The German embassy is making plans to send back the mortal remains of Louisa to her home in St. Johann in Baden-Württemberg, 180km from Frankfurt. She was the youngest among the three sisters. Her dad, who isn’t keeping very much, needed to see his little girl’s body one final time.
