Meaning of Jimikki Kammal
Jimikki Kammal is nothing but an ear stud which the women wear. Composed by Shaan Rahman and sung by popular singer, actor and director Vineeth Sreenivasan, the song with lyrics by Anil Panachooran seems to be stuck in the brains of many a Malayali. The song is having very simple lyrics.
‘Entammede jimikki kammal
Entappan kattondu poye
Entappante brandy kuppi
Entamma kudichu theerthe’
which simply means, My dad stole my mom’s ear stud and then my mom emptied his brandy bottle. 🙂
Thanks to the highly catchy lyrics, everybody seems to be identifying with the son who sings about his father who stole his mother’s earring, and the mother who in turn downed her husband’s bottle of brandy!
