The beauty of photography in its true color and forms, that is what the photography by Jayaprakash Payyannur showcases.
This man started his journey with his camera in 1992 and till this date, he took the best shots and the natural shots with less computer enhancements makes him stands out among his colleagues.
His career as a still photographer in films started in 1999 as he worked with Shaji Kailas movie ‘Narasimham’, starring Mohanlal. His independent voyage as a photographer started with his association with Sibi Malayil for the later’s directorial venture called ‘Ayirathil Oruvan’. Later, he worked with various directors like Kamal,Jayaraj, Jose Thomas, Anil Babu, VK PRakash, TK Rajeevkumar, Shafi, Johnny Antony, Lohithadas etc. Jayaprakash also did cover photoshoots for various Malayalam magazines, namely Mathrubhumi weekly, Vanitha and Manorama weekly.
Born in Kannur, Kerala, India, the land of Theyyams, his works almost seems to have the close relations with this renowned ritual. Photographs by Jayaprakash are always rich with deep color tones and conveys a single expressions which makes that photo a complete work.
Jayaprakash also worked for Kalyan silks, for which Tamil film actor Dhanush and Malayalam film actor Pritviraj appeared as the models. His latest movie projects were ‘Pattam Pole’ starring dulquar salman and Archana Kavi.
